History

Summers Avenue Family Medical Practice was initially established in 1994 by Dr Anny Marrett, a passionate and experienced general practitioner who had the vision of providing quality and holistic intergenerational care. Starting out in a humble house on Summers Avenue, she and other like-minded doctors soon gained a reputation for their professionalism, compassion and expertise.

Catering to growing demand, the practice expanded to Mount Colah in 2019, completing the transition in 2022. This move improved patient experience with modern facilities and the increased convenience of expanded on-site parking. Additional services such as the skin cancer and travel clinics have evolved from our desire to best serve the needs of the community.

To date, renamed as Summers Family Practice is proud of its history and achievements, continuing to strive for excellence and innovation in general practice by providing comprehensive, personalised, and evidence-based care to our patients.

Being committed to evidence-based care, we encourage a collaborative approach to self-reflective learning and evaluation amongst our practitioners. Through regular practice discussions, the latest medical advances and developments are discussed to improve the quality of your care.

We recognise that even the best health service can make improvements and deeply value your perspective. By listening to our patients and making continuous quality improvements, we believe that taking on a humble approach and actively listening to patient feedback is essential to fostering a culture of innovation.
