Cardiovascular Testing

ECG

An electrocardiogram uses a series of leads connected to your body to produce electrical readings of your heart. The whole test takes 5-10 minutes and can reveal many insights including issues with heart rhythm underlying palpitations and even signs of heart disease.

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring

Since blood pressure varies throughout the day, issues may be missed on occasional testing. Measuring your blood pressure regularly over 24 hours provides the most accurate analysis. A cuff connected to a device is worn during monitoring and returned the next day allowing results to be discussed with your doctor on a follow up consultation.

Lung Testing Function

By measuring how much and how quickly you can inhale and exhale, spirometry allows diagnosis or monitoring of chronic lung conditions such as asthma, emphysema (or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and interstitial lung disease.

This quick and non-invasive test takes around 15 minutes to complete with our friendly practice nurse. Halfway through the test, you will be given an inhaler to open up your airways. After the test, a follow up appointment can be booked with your doctor for results discussion
